How many of you know what an iPhone SIM card reader is and why it matters for keeping your device working properly? To keep you in the know, it is a component made up of six separate contacts that connect with the SIM card. It is clearly a very important component, as the SIM card determines the full range of functions available on your smartphone.
Over time, everyday use and wear and tear can cause one of the SIM reader's contacts to bend or break. When this happens, the device does not recognise the SIM card, leaving you unable to access the data on the card, make voice calls, send messages or store information. In short, you cannot use your iPhone.
If the SIM reader is damaged, your device will display the message “No Sim” or indicate that the phone cannot make calls.
The good news is that the fault can be repaired at a low cost. Simply bring your iPhone to us and one of our experienced technicians will repair it promptly.
