The iPhone 16 models launched in September, but although Apple had announced Apple Intelligence, the phones did not include it at launch. The company had promised that the new AI features would arrive a little later, and now it looks like we have a possible date.
According to well-known and reliable industry insider Mark Gurman, Apple Intelligence will become available on 28 October. This information comes from Gurman's latest "Power On" newsletter.
He reports that some of the Apple Intelligence AI features will be available on the 28th of the month for the iPhone 15 Pro models and the entire iPhone 16 range. This new update will arrive with the release of iOS 18.1, which will bring features such as AI notifications (AI-powered notification summaries) and a revamped version of Siri with significant improvements.
The Siri animation will also change, with the corners of the iPhone screen lighting up, as earlier leaks had suggested. If you don't have an iPhone, don't worry, as Apple Intelligence will also be available on Mac and iPad models with an M1 chip or later.
It looks like Apple Intelligence features will roll out gradually, with even more features expected in December.
