In October 2021, Huawei began taking its first tentative steps towards a return to the smartphone market and last year impressed tech enthusiasts everywhere with the Huawei P50 series, the excellent Huawei Mate 50 Pro and the beautiful Huawei nova 10 Pro.
The company may not yet have managed to resolve the issue of 5G network support -although there does seem to be a clear plan to address this gap too- but it continues to develop undeterred and is working flat out to prepare for the Huawei P60 series.
Specifications of the new model leaked
Reports suggest that the series will be unveiled in March, and some of the model's technical specifications have already been leaked. According to the leaks, the Huawei P60 Pro is expected to feature a 6.6’’ OLED QHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor limited to LTE networks, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, a triple camera setup with 50MP Sony IMX888 + 50MP Sony IMX858 ultrawide + 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto, a 32MP front camera, the Harmony OS 3.0 operating system, a 5000mAh battery with a 100W charger (50W wirelessly) and an IP68-certified build for protection against water and dust.
Once again, we expect excellent build quality and outstanding camera and display performance, as the Pro models in the Huawei P series usually take the top spots in the respective DxOMark and DisplayMate rankings.
