Technology giant Samsung is making steady progress towards growth and innovation. As recently revealed, the company plans to incorporate its new chipset, the Exynos 2400, into the upcoming Galaxy S24 series models.
Technology companies are constantly competing to offer the most powerful and efficient chipsets, and Samsung appears to be following a strategy similar to Apple's.
In a bid to compete with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Exynos 2400 is set to deliver stronger performance. Specifically, with a deca-core configuration, the chipset is designed to perform at its best. And by that, we mean CPU performance boosted by a factor of 1,7 compared with its predecessor, the Exynos 2200, and AI performance boosted by a factor of 14,7.
But Samsung is not stopping there. According to information from tipster @OreXda, the next model, the Exynos 2500, is already in development. With further changes to the core configuration, the company appears to be aiming to boost performance even more.
The rumoured specifications for the Exynos 2500 include:
- One flagship Cortex-X5 CPU core.
- Three Cortex-A730 performance cores.
- Two lower-speed Cortex-A730 performance cores.
- Four Cortex-A520 performance cores.
As for the manufacturing process, the Exynos 2500 is expected to be built using Samsung Foundry's 3GAP 3nm process node. This chip is expected to be used in Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models in 2025.
