Just a few months ago, Xiaomi introduced its new Redmi Note 9 series, which includes three different devices. The timing, however, was not ideal, as it coincided with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in China. These new models were therefore released both globally and in India.
The latest reports suggest that Xiaomi is set to launch a new series of Redmi Note 9 devices with 5G connectivity in China. What we know so far is that it will unveil a vanilla version of the Redmi Note 9 5G and a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. And for those who want more than just 5G, a new colourful box might do the trick.
Redmi's general manager, Lu Weibing, revealed the new packaging in a photo posted on Weibo. In the photo, he poses with the general manager of Lehua Entertainment, and they are holding a colourful box that looks set to house the new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The new box is a significant departure from the packaging used for recent Redmi phones, which came in plain white boxes.
The new packaging is funkier and features a cartoon character. We do not know what prompted the company to make this change, but a little colour might help lift consumers' spirits at the moment.
