Spilt water on your Xiaomi? Stay calm! You can save it by following the advice below.
Act immediately
Deal with the ‘disaster’ quickly. Every minute counts, as water could reach your Xiaomi's components and cause a short circuit and corrosion on the motherboard. Stay calm and switch off your phone immediately. If your model allows it, remove the battery from the device.
Dry it carefully
Dry your phone with absorbent paper to wipe it down and soak up as much water as possible. Under no circumstances should you try to use a hairdryer or any other heat source, as this could cause it to overheat and leave it beyond repair!
Do not switch it on
It's understandable to feel anxious, but DO NOT try to switch on your phone, and don't even think about charging it.
